We are committed to earning your trust through community governance, our transparent business model and sustainable operations practices.
Who is a subscriber?
Subscribers are organizations that are engaged in research and development, either directly such as a research institute or facility, or indirectly as a funder, publisher, repository, tool, or services platform.
What does it mean to be a subscriber?
You are helping to improve research integrity.
Subscribing organizations may use the VeriMe API to validate the identity of researchers requesting access to subscriber systems, whether that is an authoring workflow, a funding application, a secure dataset, or a research facility.
Subscribers may purchase vouchers which can be used by researchers to reduce the cost of their annual membership fee.
Subscribers may also make recommendations or contribute data for new evidence markers, in addition to those currently supported by VeriMe.
What are the Subscriber terms and conditions?
All API Users must sign our Terms of Use.
The Subscription Agreement incorporates our Privacy Policy, Code of Conduct, and Terms of Use.
Subscriber Fees
Any entity using VeriMe to verify researcher identity and personhood must register a VeriMe API subscriber account and complete our subscriber agreement, which includes our privacy policy, code of conduct, and terms and conditions.
Click on the Contact Us button to request access to our Sandbox and start the subscription process.
Entities that become Subscribers pay an annual fee for access to the sandbox and production environments with API usage tiers.
Subscribers may also purchase vouchers. For those researchers who do not yet have a VeriMe account, these vouchers can be used as Invitations that waive their fee for their first year of VeriMe Membership.
We are finalizing the fee structure and welcome your input. Please contact us if you would like to be part of this conversation.
How Vouchers work
When a new Subscriber account is funded, vouchers are distributed as zero balance of Completed Verifications and a Tier balance of Active Invitations. Subsequent voucher purchases will add to these balances.
Vouchers are valid for up to 5 years from date of purchase.
Subscribers may issue an Active Invitation to a researcher. Every issued Invitation decreases the available number of Invitations available to issue. By default, issued Invitations are valid for up to 7 days, at which point they will automatically expire, return to the Subscriber account, and reset the available number of Invitations that can be issued.
Invitations that are used by a researcher to create a Member account are counted as a Completed Verification. As Completed Verifications accrue in a Subscriber account, the count of available Invitations decreases.
